KOVSIES HIV/AIDS Centre creates WORLD CUP SOCCER fever!
A ‘Soccer countdown’ campaign was held on the Bridge in April, creating HIV awareness through the involvement of and partnership with ‘Grassroots Soccer’. Grassroots Soccer 'uses the power of soccer in the fight against HIV and AIDS and aims to provide youth with the knowledge and skills to live HIV-free'.
The Grassroots Soccer Bloemfontein team involved students in activities on the bridge while the Centre’s Transformers did the Diski dance and shared messages of 'Score responsibly' and 'Give AIDS the red card'.
KOVSIES HIV/AIDS Centre believes that in the same way that South Africa is uniting to make the Soccer World Cup 2010 a great success we can unite in the fight against the spread of HIV!
